Our Origin Story.
Butch’s journey into the sign industry began in high school when he witnessed the installation of a high-rise sign at a construction site. Fascinated by the process, he pursued a job with a local sign company and quickly became immersed in the business. Over the years, Butch gained invaluable experience across various positions and companies, learning every aspect of the signage industry. Eventually, he moved to Florida and founded The Sign Resource, which aimed to provide nationwide signage services that prioritized long-term client relationships and exceptional service. His vision was clear: a customer transaction could transform into a lasting trust-based partnership.
After 25 successful years, Butch began contemplating retirement in 2021. Faced with his loyalty to his staff and Clients, he sought a way to continue the company’s legacy. That’s when he met Becky Loranger, Founder and President of Lakeside Project Solutions. Through their shared values of quality service and Client-focused relationships, they formed a solution to carry on The Sign Resource’s mission. Today, Lakeside Signage Company stands as the continuation of that legacy, ensuring that Butch’s principles of excellence and personal Client connections remain at the heart of the business.
